HLB Middle East & Africa Conference 2025 – Hosted in Djibouti

From 9 to 12 November 2025, HLB Djibouti had the honour of hosting the HLB Middle East & Africa Conference 2025, bringing together 45 delegates from 24 countries across the region and beyond. This landmark event showcased Djibouti’s growing strategic importance and reaffirmed HLB’s commitment to strengthening regional collaboration and professional excellence.

A Platform for Regional Collaboration

Throughout the four-day conference, delegates engaged in high-level discussions on key priorities shaping the future of the network in the Middle East and Africa. The sessions reflected a strong appetite for deeper collaboration and highlighted the importance of developing regional capability and addressing capacity challenges across member firms.

Participants explored opportunities to establish regional hubs and centres of excellence, positioning the HLB network to better serve clients, expand market share, and leverage cross-border expertise.

ESG, Innovation, and the Future of Professional Services

A central theme across the conference was ESG—not only as a guiding principle for responsible business, but also as a significant growth opportunity for firms operating in emerging markets. Delegates emphasised the need to support clients in navigating regulatory expectations, sustainability reporting, and evolving stakeholder priorities.

Other sessions focused on innovation and AI, global audit and tax developments, employee value and talent retention, and the expanding collaboration between HLB Global and the China Service team. These discussions enriched the dialogue and reinforced the network’s commitment to continuous improvement and forward-looking solutions.

Tangible Next Steps for the Region

The conference concluded with clear next steps aimed at enhancing regional integration, scaling capability, and unlocking new avenues for cooperation among member firms. The collective ambition demonstrated throughout the event underscored HLB’s commitment to elevating its presence and impact across the Middle East & Africa.
